I think a few teams of the 2000s were very elite.
UGA had a damn good 02/07 units, UF made their title runs with Meyer (Spurrier was done in 01).
Some real shite, OM was god-awful under O, while I liked Sly Croom as a guy and really rooted for him, obviously they (MSU) weren't very good.

Neither Florida or UGA were elite in 2000-2009, Auburn had the best team of that stretch.
UF:
100 wins
3 SEC titles
2 National titles
Auburn:
88 wins
1 SEC title
0 National titles
It was just a mistake. Meant to list UTk. Typing on phone and didn't check after I posted.

LSU has win the conference and played in a BCS bowl this decade.
Just one less BCS bowl as Bama in 00-09

That was probably a troll, but with Auburn fans you just never know.

See the above correction. In my mind playing for or being the best team in the country is required to be considered elite. I just made a mistake listing UF.

I took more umbridge with your decision to say Auburn was the best team of that stretch.
