lol... awesome. I figured so, hence the name. But was unsure because of the typos, lol. Apologies for my abject prejudice. What's your area of study? I'm considering going back to get a PhD or JD shortly, I'd like to teach as well at some point, or at least lecture(more apologies) a class every semester. Where are you now?

No prob. My typo issues tend to get bad when I'm sleep deprived (got no sleep last night), when it's late at night and because I just had to teach myself to post it and not worry about it. Like I said I'd proof for an hour and re-read my posts only to hit the edit button multiple times - never got anything done as it really just got too much. Now I type fast and try not to worry about it because I know I'm a TL;DR poster in general.

I'm slightly dyslexic but in a mild/uncommon way which only shows up occasionally. I'm also convinced I need to break down and get my eyes checked. I can't see well in these boxes and have to hit preview and or reread what I've posted to see my errors.

I took upper level law school courses for shits and giggles in grad school because I found I could do that. It was incredibly easy for me -- wayyy easier than grad school but my mentor was a hardass who graduated from Harvard under a famous, in the academic world professor and his classmates are all heavy hitters, consider the best, in the field (my entire grad dept. was composed of Haaaahvad PhDs and a UCHIGAGO guys.)

I don't want to be rude but I will only go so far as to say my degrees are in the humanities. Part of that is because I do need to protect my identity because of my profession. I hope that doesn't come across as rude. Although I will say I never did stick to one field.

If your heart is in going back DO IT. There's no substitute for pursuing your dreams.

Drinking age needs to be 18. If you're old enough to die for your country. You're old enough to drink a cold one. Kids are kids. There is not an overwhelming progression from 18-21 as far as wreckless goes. If anything when you hit 21 it's easier to get your hands on it on top of being more ballsy. Just stupid. We are one of the only countries who do this and look at us. shite economy. Completely falling short of the standards and laws set in front of us by the fathers. The people who run this country did the same shite, if not worse. JOKE

I'd let kids drink when they're 12 and not drive til they're 25...and take away their license at 75.

Citation? Suspend him a half, IMO.

No such thing as a citation in Athens. You get caught, you get arrested and go to Athens CC Jail. Underage drinking penalties are so stupid.

Hawkeyes will still roll. Hurd won't do much against Iowa's two future NFL DTs in Davis and Trinca-Passat. They will also rattle Dobbs. Outland Trophy winner , unanimous 1st team AA, and upcoming top 5 draft pick Scherff will nullify Barnett. Jake Rudock will go ham.

I like that too. Or we could always just get a uniform govt policy to get a governor put in every car and there were sensors inside the car and where the speed limit markers are that adjusted the top speed. If the governor gets tampered with then you will be arrested or cited heavily depending on state

I'm sure it has already been said, but if he was drinking the beers instead of putting them in his arse, you have to consider that progress.

I got three of these while at UT my first 2 years of school.

There isn't anyone in the greek scene who hasn't had multiple.

UTPD passes them out like parking tickets, no joke.

Can't believe this is news.

What makes it even more hypocritical is that there are areas where faculty and admin can go where alcohol flows freely because they're considered private areas. It goes back to the days the city of Knoxville was dry and alcohol was hidden in private/club areas but there was always plenty of it if you knew where to go.

Campus still hasn't changed the rules on alcohol but you're right - not a damn thing dry about it. Not even close.

I'm pretty sure in Louisiana, you're required to have a few empty beer cans or daiquiri cups, rolling around in the floorboard.

Sadly, if this were Chubb , UGA would suspend him for the bowl game. Hopefully, Butch and the UT AD demonstrates more common sense and Hurd is not punished for something so minor.

I think UGA's policy is because y'all had several back to back incidents that were high profile and TBH wayyyy overreacted. Things are a lot more chill here when it comes to these things.

It was reported/confirmed today that Jalen will only be punished internally and won't miss any PT. What galls me is that according to the police report what happened is another kid passed out in Jalen's car at the dorm. UTPD knocked on Jalen's dorm room door and asked him if he'd been drinking. Jalen told the truth and those frickheads cited him for it.

But of course you know it's bad when UTPD and KPD has such a bad rep that the Fulmer Award guys made a joke about KPD driving up to Columbus to cite Ohio St. players when they got busted.

Both used to be much more lax, especially KPD but with budgets trimmed to the bone and no income tax, they're making their money buy squeezing people to death on various tickets.

I def. feel for y'all at UGA. It's a dumb policy that needs to change.
