This is what distinguishes the two schools mostly.

Ole Miss has culture and State doesn't care about the Ole Miss culture, or even it's own.

We do, however, know the difference between it's and its.

Ole Miss used to be big brother back in the old days. Now they are little brother.

Both State and OM along with Alabama and Auburn >all combined< could be bought with aTm's front pocket.

OM has some old money folks but they're dying out, and their kids are squandering the rest with multiple divorce settlements and numerous drug/alcohol rehabilitation stints. The next generation will be in worse shape. But they will always have the State's academic medical institution and the highest good looking women percentage in the SEC.

State folks are now figuring out that they've been their own worst enemy for decades, and not just in football. Too many old hucklebucks have been running things but that has changed, and not a decade too soon. The engineering programs, meteorology dept, and vet school have gotten worldwide recognition. MSU will be the institution that carries the torch in the future of economic growth in MS as well.
