The only teams that could afford to take Gurley in the first art the pats and hawks. He is worth the risk that late if your team can afford that

And he has a point with 1st rounders. Only 1st round pick that's in the top 10 in rushing is Lynch. Only 1st rounders in the top 15 in rushing are Lynch & Ingram.

I listed 6 first rounders (including Peterson for obvious reasons) Of those six, two are elite, two are good, and two are busts. That's 66% being solid contributors to their teams. Of the seven that I listed from the second round, all of them have been good.

Every position has busts in the first round. I'd say a 66% "good pick rate" is probably right around the average for the first round.

Adrian Peterson would probably go in the late first if he traveled in time and was in the upcoming draft, but he's the only guy currently playing that you can say that about.

There's no way Gurley is going in the first coming off a blown out knee.

Drafting a running back in the first round is just idiotic. You can find guys on some random team's practice squad that produce as well as a lot of the hyped college backs.

I dont watch much nfl....but if Cooper slipped to 7, would Atlanta take him on value? I know they need much more on D...but Him and julio on a team would be awesome.

No, they would trade out of that pick to someone who wanted Amari and try to stockpile some picks. They need more bodies on the OL and defense, not another receiver.

No

The Falcons need pass rush and will be taking a DE or OLB

There's this guy, they call him beast mode. He's pretty good.

The RBs that have been taken in the 1st have been players that were transcendent in college. Gurley fits that description and I'm sure more than one team will look at taking him late in the first.

Are you really laughing at Collins going in the 1st round? Or just to the Bears?

Collins at the 20th or later seems right. Top 10, not so much. He's really not that great in coverage.

OM is still running circles around him with that bunch set.

Having one bad game is a great reason to drop him down 10 spots on a draft board.

Good thing draft analysts didn't have tape of what Julio did to PP7 a couple of weeks ago in Atlanta or he might have fallen out of the first round, by your estimation.

His apparent average coverage skills aren't based on one game.

This makes zero sense....

Peterson was abused by one of the best WRs in the league. Collins was abused by a college sophomore and a couple scrubs that had Bo Wallace noodle arming it out there to them. There's a bit of a difference.

You left off a lot of 1st round RBs between your start year of 2007 and end year of 2012.

And players like Jahvid Best & David Wilson who had career ending injuries after just a short stint in the NFL are prime reasons not to spend that much money on a RB in the 1st round when you can snag, let's say, DeMarco Murray all the way in the 3rd.

Add Moreno into the McFadden category of can't finish a season healthy.

Trent Richardson who averages 3.4 yards per carry didn't make your list either. Who's scored 7 total TDs the past three seasons.

Missed this one. The bears already have one safety that can't cover anyone. Why would they want another one?

If the Titans draft Winston I may be done with them. This team already does enough things to make me hate them.

I don't hold grudges against kids from LA that don't choose LSU. I just don't think Collins is worth a top 10 pick.
