Defensive Staff at AU

Saw something on Saturday Down South based on a Thayer Evans tweet (so take the source into consideration) but there is a report that Florida is hiring Geoff Collins from Ms State as D coordinator for UF.

If that is the case have to think Durkin takes the D coordinator position at another school and we might be better positioned for T-Rob to come back.

Any chance we might snag Durkin? I mean, I know it is a step down but I have to wonder why he is leaving a job like Florida when all reports were that McElwain wanted to retain the D staff?

Durkin is in talks with North Carolina so would assume he goes there.

I'm surprised they didn't retain Durkin, unless it was his call and he wanted a change of scenery.

I wonder how they feel about Durkin now? They made a pretty underwhelming hire, IMO.
