Well Eisenhower's administration overthrew two democratically elected governments in his time, one of which we're still feeling the backlash from.

You've got Nixon and Chile. Reagan and the Contras, Bush and Iraq, this is not a difficult list to compile.

i like the part where you name Republican presidents only.

Hard decisions and behind the curtain moves to increase global stability and national security are NOT the same as assassinations of your own people and your own personal political opponents to achieve and maintain office or power.

It's because the Democrat presidents failed every time they tried a major foreign-policy maneuver. The Bay of Pigs, the shah's fall in Iran, Vietnam, The loss of China, and more. Really the reason he can only mention Republican presidents, is because all the Democrat presidents failed every single time when they tried it.

Would Putin mix it up by starting a conflict with more of their neighbors to redirect the anger of Russian citizens?

In a fricking heartbeat.

Way too many people think real wars can't happen in today's world and they're wrong as hell.

The Russians are already rattling Finland and Sweden's cages by staging air and submarine incursions into their territory. Both of those countries aren't NATO and their military forces combined would be very hard pressed to resist a Russian attack for very long.

If things get really bad Russia, Finland should get ready for another winter war, the Ukraine will cease to exist, and Europe better decide how it will survive with no natural gas because Putin won't go down without a literal fight.

I only wonder what kind of deal we cut with the Saudis to get them to flood the crude market.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

I think the primary Saudi motivation is not to repeat their mistakes the last time oil bottomed out, destroying shale and the Iranians/Russians is a bonus

This is the truth. People attribiting this to punishing this or that need to realize the Saudi's had nothing to do with the over supply. They have done nothing to bring this about other than refuse to CUT production. They have been producing roughly the same number of BPD for years. People with this "flood the market" nonsense are slightly amusing though.
