Thinking about Muschamp going to Auburn as DC and his failure at Florida as HC. He had years to study Saban's success and Brown's failures yet he couldn't translate that into success at Florida.

What did Saban have in coaching acumen that Muschamp didn't have or couldn't have?

the ability to understand scoring points is very important and finding a good offensive coordinator that could actually develop talent

For the same reason lots of people can slap paint on a canvas, but few can reproduce the great works of art. There's more to it than technical understanding.

Why can't stupid people just act like smart people?

They do. It's called "the Internet." The rest of us are not fooled.

Great coaches generally are open to all facets of the game. Saban showed in the game vs. Mizzou that he can learn from his opponents.

Muschamp has shown consistently that he has no clue how to adapt or change his gameplan.

If it doesn't work, he will do it for the rest of the game, month and season until it does.

Saban, will work around his players, and make sure to change up the gameplan.

Muschamp will force his players to work around his system (his first year he tried to operate a pro-style attack without any pieces to fit that puzzle since they were all spread based).

The great coaches are good at surviving adversity, the bad ones are only good when talent is available. In today's game, you need to be very, very smart and Muschamp just flat out wasn't.

Because some can't also emulate the Booster money bringing in all the 5*s.
