Ohio State was like 0-8 or something against the SEC in bowl games or something, till Arkansas and Ryan Mallet choked the game away at the end.
Ohio State would later "vacate" the game and that whole season, but who cares, the game was played, the pigs lost, whatever.
That was the game the NCAA blew whatever was left of their credibility. OSU's 4 players had been found to have committed infractions in the lead up to the bowl game and were suspending for 4 games... but for some odd reason that penalty was to start the NEXT year, and they were allowed to play in the bowl game, but Terrelle Pryor had to 100% super pinky swear he was coming back next year to serve the suspension in order to be allowed to play and not go immediately to the draft, and you can guess what happened after the game.
Karma came back around though and bit OSU in the arse, they got their meaningless vacated bowl win and had their 2012 season ruined by probation.

I think it worked out pretty well for Ohio State. They ended up with Urban Meyer and Braxton Miller got a season of experience that he wouldn't have had otherwise.

Urban's been feasting on Big Ten cupcakes (and often barely squeaking by them) and losing pretty much the one or two games of significance they've played since he's been there.
I'm hopeful and optimistic that continues January 1st.
