With all this talk about Les Miles leaving LSU (Louisiana Steppingstone University), what would become of LSU?

1. Would they return to the team of the 1990's, (54 wins - 58 losses - 1 tie)? Those were horrible teams.

1990 Coach Mike Archer (5-6)
1991 - 1994 Coach Curley Hallman (16-28)
1995 - 1999 Coach Gerry DiNardo (33-24-1)

2. How much of the coaching staff goes to Michigan with Leslie? Does Coach John Chavis go with Leslie?

3. At what point do recruits start flipping and look at other SEC schools to commit to, with not having a head coach in place?

I for one would hate to see Coach Miles leave, but I'm sure he can make a lot more money at Michigan than LSU. These are some interesting times at LSU. We will all be watching as news develops with this program that is in decline and a embarrassing 17-0 shutout loss to Arkansas this season.

Would like to see a team go with just student coaches and see how it goes. Would save a lot of money.

1. Les will make more $$$ at LSU than the could ever hope for at Michigan. And the cheapskates at Mich won't pay a staff anywhere near what Les wants.

2. Michigan Football is a dumpsterfire at best. I really like Les and his family and hope they will not get caught back up in that situation.

3. If Les were to leave, LSU would hire someone with strong head coaching experience and that person would walk into a program that is in very good shape.

This thread is sad.

Resorting to trolling LSU teams from 20+ years ago.

This is the state of A&M post Thanksgiving. We didn't want to completely destroy your souls

I thoroughly enjoy Aggy stating the obvious in how bad LSU football was in the 90's and turn around and pride themselves on beating such horrible teams since they haven't been able to post-millennium, losing 3 of the 4 in the Great State of Texas.

By the way, LSU fans witnessed 4 National Championships in baseball in the 90's..was a hell of a ride!!

Gruden takes over. Chavis rolls out too but is replaced by Pelini.

Yall have to pick one or the other.

Either LSU recruits itself now and les is an idiot who anyone can replace.

Or Les is a legit coach and will be hard to replace.

When Johnson used LSU as a stepping stone to TCU, they went out and hired a sunbelt coach with past ties to the university.

I would expect them to do the same when it came to replacing Les.

They possibly end the losing streak to Bama... maybe?

All of this Less to Michigan talk is silly though. Michigan doesn't want him.

This is big 12 residue. Les Miles at Okie State was looked at as an inferior coach to the great Dennis Franchione.
