Over on TB, the word is, he's leaving UT, heading for 2yrs of Juco, then tranfer to Mizzou for final 2yrs.

I've confirmed over at VolNation, Hendrix has cleaned out his locker and will not go to the bowl game.

He'd only need one year at JUCO if that's the case, I believe.

He's so buried at UT he'll never play.

Should have just came here in the first place. You know he would have gotten the coaching.

Hopefully a good lesson for some of the current recruits.

From a UT board. Nothing about Mizzou but rumblings of him leaving definitely discussed as early as days ago.

With the amount of guys leaving or showing displeasure at UT makes you wonder just how much Butch Jones pumped them full of promises he couldn't keep.

I don't really trust that guy, think he's a me first, them second type of person.

In Pinkel I see someone more honest, which I think costs him recruiting battles.

I woldn't trust him either. No way he can take classes of 30+ every year without processing a huge percentage.

I think his approach is bring 30 in, give Jones a year to figure out which are the best of the group, then get rid of the ones that aren't as good and make room for another class of 30.

Yep.

And that's only going to work for so long.

Him and Stoops can't play the 'play right away' with a big group of high end recruits every year.

If Mizzou lands Beckner and some of the other DLs they're recruiting will there be room for him?

I've never seen one quote from a recruit or player saying that Butch ever promised them a starting job or tons of PT. The typical thing we always hear is that he says PT is available if you work on it because CBJ isn't afraid to play young players if they're better than an upperclassman.

Hendrix's problem is that he's behind a fellow freshman DE that just had an All-SEC type of season.

The rumor is that Hendrix is upset at lack of PT and wants to go. Butch wants him to stick around until spring and see how he feels then. It also would help Hendrix if he finished two semesters before trying to transfer elsewhere.

Btw, Hendrix did not redshirt this year so, if he did transfer, he would have to go to one year of JUCO and then arrive at his next school as a Junior with 3 years to play 2. Hope that helps

What's being said on TB, is that he will need to sit out 2yrs to come to Mizzou, because we're both SEC East schools.

He'll go to Juco for 2yrs and redshirt, only playing 1 of 2yrs.

Thanks my friend. He's probably better off sticking and staying frankly. I would like to think that 2 years from now we will have 2 guys that have been in the system that would be ahead of him anyways.

I kind of figured that one or the other of them made a mistake in the first place IF the goal was to actually play. When y'all landed Barnett, I just assumed Hendrix wanted to go to UT because of his ties to UT, regardless of playing time.

If you go the JUCO route you don't have to sit out 2 years. Play a year at JUCO then have 3 years to play 2 or redshirt and have 3 years to play 3.

Are you aware that Hendrix played as a true freshman at Tennessee? He has one year used of his 5yrs to play four.

The problem is Missouri and Tennessee are both in SEC East. To go to Missouri, he sits two years.

Hendrix is clearing his locker to enroll in Juco in January. He'll have to reshirt one of the two years. I believe he has to play at least one year at Juco. He'll either redshirt at Juco or at Mizzou, but one way or the other, he's out for two years.

That rule only applies if transferring directly between SEC schools. If a player transfers to a juco 1 season is all that's needed. Examples of players that transferred from SEC to JUCO to SEC schools look at Cam Newton, Nick Marshall and others. Great way to go where you want without loosing eligibility.

This. As a qualifier out of HS as long as he has credits from UT, he should be able to graduate from JUCO in 1 year and then have 3 to play 3 or 3 to play 2 depending upon whether he RS or not at the JUCO. I have no idea if he will end up at MU.

He's already played one year.

I don't think he can reshirt at Juco for that one year, if he's able to graduate in one year.

That would still only leave 2yrs of eligibility.
