Congrats to Coop, he has a bright future ahead of him. Incredible athlete.

Side note: Darrell Scott is pondering transferring from tennessee according to 247. Scott was a HS teammate of Cooper, and Scott favored SC for over a year, until the last month when he decided to go to tennessee.

I will say this, I knew that was a bad decision for him at the time b/c of Hurd, I wrote that in threads, and I'm not happy about it coming to fruition. This was a kid who got sold late on a bag of goods that wasn't there, I feel sorry for him, but it was his choice. His parents wanted him to stick with SC, and they knew best.

No brainer here. Coop had an astounding year.

Coop has 3 to play 2, technically, but he may go pro next year.

I don't think Scott red shirted this year, so he would lose a year of eligibility transferring. he would then have 3 to play 2.

We'll never, not under Spurrier, take a transfer who turned his back on us the first time.

Just like Lawing and Johnson will not be allowed to return.

I agree with that policy fwiw. We all should. Think about it.

247 insiders are saying Lawing coming back to Cola is more of a possibility even without Muschamp and that Johnson has interest in returning to Cola in some capacity.

It'd be hard to turn either of them away imo, especially if Johnson is willing to just be the LB coach

meh, it works for Auburn. They won 2 SECCG's with recruits who initially didn't choose them (Newton and Marshall.) I think it would moreso depend on the player and the position in need than anything.

The coaches situation might be different, but I thought Steve wanted his assistants to do well and develop. Ellis' next move was HC somewhere, but that fell apart horribly at Souther Miss. Lawing had to get out of dodge before his wife chopped off his dick. Time heals all wounds, maybe it's safe for him to come back to Cola.

I don't think he's going to coach, but I don't know that as fact. I think we might use him in some type of admin/recruiting/scouting role. He has a good rolodex of HS coaches that will give him info or help him.

I don't really see him coaching next year either, but if we can get him as our LBs coach that would be amazing

Glad he didn't fall through the cracks as can happen when a team has a 6-6 year.
