Would he be on some draft boards? He's got a very good arm and can make all the throws, has great escapability to extend plays and pick up yards on busted pays. Height and only one year starting are knocks on him. I just hope he gets a shot to make a roster somewhere, I'd not at qb then rbor slot receiver

He'd absolutely get a shot if he were 6'3"

He wouldn't be as shifty as he is now though.

Blake isn't going to make a roster at RB or WR. It's QB or bust for him. His chance is probably making a practice squad with a team in a division with a mobile quarterback.

Wouldn't say this. If Denard Robinson can make it as a RB, I could see Sims do the same.

THIS. not sure why some people think he will be a safety or a WR. He's not Antwan Randle El or Shoelace or Kordell Stewart. He's much closer to a Tyrod Taylor or Troy Smith.

Denard Robinson can fly.

We've already seen Sims at running back, he isn't an NFL talent there.

I gotta say he manages a game alot like russell wilson at times. I would bring him in and see what he can do if i was a nfl team.
I cant believe i am saying that about the guy we saw in spring.
At worst, you gotta think he could do some damage in canada if he wanted to play.

I just want to start by saying I love Blake Sims. He has got to be one of favorite Bama qb's of all time....How can you not root for him considering his story?

Now that said....He honestly just isnt good enough for the NFL. Having all this talent around him really helps...He is also in a Lane Kiffin offense that is helping him tremendously. I hate to say it but I'm not sure he has it between the ears to play at a high level in the NFL. It seems like reading defenses and making adjustments on the line isn't his strength. That isnt gonna fly in the nfl.Doesn't Kiffin stay on the sidelines to help Sims read the defense and communicate with him throughout the game?

I have seen him throw a lot of duds on the run too...

Now that said he has a great work ethic and I would love for him to prove me wrong...but I really just don't see it working out

He isn't good enough to be the starting QB at Alabama

He isn't good enough to win the West.

He isnt good enough to win an SECCG(much less win MVP).

He isnt good enough to make the playoff.

And the haters were SURE of all of that.

I'm just saying...

pretty much. if there is anyone who is going to work hard enough to be good enough for the nfl its sims. Im guessing the most likely route for him to the nfl would be through the CFL or arena football for a few years

Yeah, I'm not going to be delusional and say that he for sure will make it to the NFL but I sure as hell aint counting the guy out.

I think everyone should just keep on discounting him.

He'll never get drafted

He'll never make and NFL roster

He'll never play a down.

etc.

We never got a good look at him at RB. We had Richardson and Lacy at RB when he played there. Same questions were there with Robinson. I'm not saying he's a sure thing, but I certainly am not counting him out there.

I get your point....He has an incredible work ethic. I will be rooting for him. But work ethic can only get you so far. I could go work my arse of 24/7 and I'll never be a NFL qb. The NFL is a whole different beast. College football is incredibly hard but he has some advantages here that are undeniable. We have way more talent than most teams we play. I hate to sound negative but I seriously don't think he has the football smarts to make it in the nfl. Maybe I am not watching close enough but I never see Blake Sims see something in the defense and audible and exploit the weakness of the defense. A QB who has trouble reading defenses is a recipe for disaster in the NFL. It's not necesarily his physical talent that would hold him back imo. I would love for him to prove me wrong though. It certainly wouldn't be the first time he has proven everyone wrong.
