quote:

We take all the players and coaches up to Charlotte Motor Speedway, and they get to ride the NASCAR race car three laps around the Speedway at about 160-170 miles an hour," said Webb on a Sunday teleconference, getting the attention of Mark Richt. "All of them get to? Do they have to?" Richt said. "Hey, I'm in."

I think that would be awesome but Half the players probably have no idea what NASCAR is

Well, it's been a minute since our last DUI/super-speeder ticket. May as well get them back in the mood. Kind of like rewarding an arsonist with a box of matches.

Also, kind of excited to see them try to fit people like Pyke in a nascar. Lord knows that car ain't hitting 160 with Toby in it.

from their website...

Our race cars do not have doors, so participants must have the ability to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground. Our driving suits are available up to size 4X

half the team won't be able to fit in the car and the other half won't have a drivers license...

Looks like Richt might be the only one doing it.

ESPN NCAAF - In a strange turn of events, Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt pulled over and cited for going 115 MPH in a 55 MPH Zone. When reached for comment, Steve Spurrier replies "I love Georgia. You can't even make most the shite they do up."

Wouldn't that be something. Have an Injury during bowl festivities

I can hear the Fire Richt chants already (moreso than what's already being yelled)

We regret to tell you but your starting --------- has just broke his neck due to a cut tire going into turn 3. The HANS Device saved his life but he will be drinking Campbell's soup through a straw for the rest of his life. I know the chance of this happening is pretty much slim to none but.............

Is it true that since the beginning of UGA's football program, that there have been only 20 times in program history that it has won 10 or games in a season? And if they win the bowl it will make Richt's 9th season with 10 or more wins? Interesting...

When did they start playing 12 game regular seasons?

Don't know, but here is where I got that tidbit from - so you can blame Emerson if it is wrong.

quote:

McGarity suggested a number of story lines for the game, in addition to Grantham. Georgia has never played in Charlotte. It’s also a chance to earn a 10th win for the 21st time in program history (and ninth under head coach Mark Richt), and then there’s “a legitimate shot” of finishing in the top 10, depending on how other teams fare.

A better comparison is how many times have we lost less than 2 games in a single season? Compare that to the Richt era
