Has Jeff Long ever said no to an interview?

If I had such a high profile position, I would do the bare minimum # of interviews. Especially when I know how controversial what I say is going to be
The less talking I do that gets recorded, the better
Oh, and of course he can spend that time actually caring about Arkansas athletics too. He can earn his $500k salary from us

1. We give him a raise and extension
2. All of the sudden, his time he is dedicating to UA athletics is cut in half with his position on the CFB Playoff committee. Flys to Grapevine every week and spends hours in meeting, more hours on TV

Some people won't get it. Porker is probably a small town dude. Big responsibility and name recognition are important.
Every college fan and high school star is watching what teams made it to the playoffs. Having the head of your athletic department with all focus on him during this time is not a bad thing.
This isn't the local rotary club or church picnic.

Publicity is good.
Hell, if I was CBB I would be pointing to Long and telling all the recruits that Arkansas is such a great program they let our AD pick the playoffs.

Dude.
Jeff Long just kept us out of going to the Birmingham bowl. We get the match up we wanted, we don't have to go to Birmingham, and the payout for the Texas Bowl is $3 Million per school.
That's a big thing and it's what Hog clout can do.
Florida, Foley, and McElwain got muscled into that shite bowl, and the SEC office tried and tried to frick us there. Good thing A&M is soft and scared to play Texas.

I get it, but there is a big difference between publicity for Jeff Long and publicity for Arkansas
No 18 year old kid from overtown cares about who the head of a committee is, and that kid sure as hell isnt making any college decisions based on it
