I will be utterly shocked if yall get that done before first home game.

Not completely done, but enough to pass code and let people in there for games. It's been raining a bunch in SE texas lately.

It looks as if you are 12 months away from completion.

Can you please NOT move the Bama game to Houston's reliant stadium? I don't want their shitty field messing with our players. Thanks!

It'll get done.
(I believe they're ahead of schedule already)

Moving the Aggie Softball Complex also allows the east grandstand of Ellis Field to be expanded

Have you heard any plans to cover the stands on that side as well?

Love the commitment to softball. We just built a new a softball stadium that's pretty nice as well.. opened in 2013 I believe.

but the real WOW here is that track stadium. That's pretty amazing. I feel like our upgrade that's on the way is nothing compared to this.

Texas A&M.. our new facilities overlords in the SEC!

That Softball stadium seems a bit gratuitous, but holy hell that track stadium is tight as frick

Title 9. We gave Olsen a 28 million dollar face lift so we have to do something for the chicks too.

I really like how we are tying all our stadiums together with the same look.

See Kyle & Olsen and now Softball & Track are following suit. Now if we could only redo Reed Arena and the indoor track/football areas.

There isn't one coach at A&M that deserves an upgrade to their facilities more than pat henry. Good for him and the track kids. Looks really good.

Now my only question is, do people actually show up and watch track meets?

Running ahead of schedule on Kyle. The looks are deceiving as so much of the work to this point has been destruction and removal of the old structure as well as setting the foundation of the new structure. Much of the new facility is already prefabbed and just needs to be put in. The "look" of the construction will hit warp speed soon.

We're using steel rather than concrete, so it's going to go up really fast. I think they'll have all the steel in place by late March, if not before, and I would expect all the risers to be in place by mid-June. The real race will be to complete the finish on interior spaces like the suites and club--that's where the time pressure will be.

you....bitch

he left on my birthday in junior high, and I thought my dad was playing a prank on me. it might have been the worst move Skip Bertman ever made as LSU's AD (not committing anything to the track program)

I really don't think Skip believed Henry was going to leave. That was his major mistake (that and Smoke Laval)
Still I think LSU track is in good hands....

Great to see all this amazing construction! The thing to remember is, with the SECN money ramping up faster than anticipated, every school in this conference will be boasting amazing facilities in the future!

And it's just going to get worse with all the SECN money coming in. It will an arms race for years to come.

Where is the breaking point though?

I'd hate to be that school that miscalculated and reaches too far too late in the curve.
