Hugh Freeze agrees to extension

@CoachHughFreeze

Very blessed to be at THE University of Miss & work for and with great people and fans! REBELNATION, say it with me, I AM AN OLE MISS REBEL

And coming in cheap at the low, low price of $4 million per year! Good job locking him up, Rebs!

This gets me every time. The guy is getting $4 mil a year for recruiting one good class.

ETA: It could always be worse though. aTm is paying Sumlin $5 mil a year for a couple of offseason world championships, some swag, and a new daddy.

Arkansas is 1-2 against Freeze. I would hesitate to call that automatic.

30-0 was a statistical anomaly. I look to Ole Miss to return to beating Arkansas next season.

He's getting a pay raise for going 24-14 over three years. He's also knocked off two top 5 teams, a top 10 team, and blown Texas and A&M out on the road. He's improved his win total every year @ Ole Miss and won a championship in his only season @ Arkansas State.

If Sumlin is worth 5 mil, Freeze is worth 4.

So he's getting paid Les Miles' money for the same accomplishments? That's nice. Oh, other than the hardware of course. Egg bowl trophies not withstanding.

Doing it at OM is significantly harder than at LSU.

Our quarterback got hurt, still drove on you, but couldn't get anything behind his throws and made a couple bad mistakes. Our backups aren't experienced by any means and that got exploited by your very talented d-line. If you think that fourth-down offsides was legit, then you have more lard in your skull than Bert has in his FUPA.

Despite all of that, y'all still deserved the game and probably would've won a close one if the correct fourth down call was made and Bo wasn't injured.

Still are 1-2 against Freeze and while I don't anticipate any more 30-point wins or shutouts by either side in the near future, nothing in the West is guaranteed, much less Arkansas over Ole Miss.

ETA: and before anyone says it, of course I'm still butthurt over the loss. The only loss I melted over for more than five minutes was this one. Just too much horseshite/stuff on the line.

Les Miles didn't take over a 2-10 team.

True; an oft-forgotten fact he dominated the Sun Belt one year. That conference plays good football top to bottom.
