It's almost as bad as 6A here in OK. It's Union and Jenks AGAIN for the title, like the 12 of the last 13 years.

Benton took it to El Dorado like no one in Arkansas has done in a long time last week. Can they handle da' bluff for the second time this season????

Don't even worry about AA. nothing to see here. JC will hammer Earle and whoever wins the other semifinal in Little Rock next week.

ElDawg, can Smackover push Charleston in AAA?

Smackover seems to be blowing everyone out, even the supposed good teams they play.

I expect they will handle Little Rock Episcopal tonight in similar fashion.

Not a shot at Benton DC, but have they ever been this good?

Seems as though when I was in school they were usually an easy win. Both Benton and Bryant to be honest.

Just curious on the history there.

Not this good, no. Back when I was in school (90s) very good and would make the playoffs but never made it to the big game. Like I said, it's been since 1977 since they've won one.

Still spent millions on facilities regardless. Glad it panned out this year.

ETA: They've been really really good at home. I've been to every one and I believe including playoffs, there have been 5 or 6 (?) mercy rules.

I think they can PUSH Charleston.... not sure if they can beat them. Defense has carried them at times this season and they have probably as athletic of a secondary as anyone in the state. They were able to slow down Junction City early in the year and they spread it out with better athletes than Charleston likely has but they don't have a triggerman like Storey. I would expect that a Charleston/Smackover state final would be a "last team with the ball" kind of shootout. But admittedly I don't know a ton about Charleston.
I have several buddies on Staff at Smackover and I do know that they don't lose very much off this team and will be a force in AAA again next year.
