USC/Clemson should bring back Big Thursday and play on Thanksgiving

I think it would provide more exposure for the game than it currently gets on the last Saturday of the regular season and we could go back to calling the game Big Thursday instead of making up fake names like the Palmetto Bowl

I'm on the other side of this. I like doing the family thing and watching pro football on Thanksgiving and then having the game on the weekend. Also, the Palmetto Bowl sounds infinitely better than the Hardee's Trophy, so I'll be fine with that.
To be fair, I would have accepted, Crescent Cup, Carolina Cup, Carolina Bowl, The Game, State Cup, and a bunch more ideas over the Hardee's Trophy.

Palmetto Bowl didn't show up until recently and didn't have anything to do with the Hardee's Trophy. The State held an online poll and thats what won iirc
And I thought I read that this was the last year for the Hardee's trophy. Really hoping for a Palmetto tree trophy or the idea to have metal palmetto trees each stadium and play for the crescent
eta- as far as the family thing I think you could work it around the game. Afternoon games do diner, night games do lunch/tailgate.

I do most of the hosting on Thanksgivings and out of town relatives come in, it's kinda becoming a thing. I made a really great Rib Roast 2 years ago and the sumsabitches keep coming back.
