Watched the game vs. OM Saturday. There was a lot of 3 TE / direct snap to RB / weird formation type stuff going on. It worked out well for you all in that game, but as everyone knows, good teams don't run gimmick offenses for a reason. Our superior speed on defense will have these goofy plays blown up in the backfield.

I'm curious, what new gadget plays do you think Bert will bring to Columbia on Friday to try to continue masking the fact that the piggies have a mediocre at best offense?

Except we ran those plays against one of the fastest defenses in the SEC...

Eh, this is exactly the type of offense that Pinkel has had trouble with in the past. (See Auburn last year, Navy in the Houston bowl, Indiana...)

We're actually really good at getting positive yardage every running play. Very few TFL against us. Without looking at stats, we probably lead the SEC. We don't hit homeruns, but we're efficient.

Everybody knows Pinkel is a huge fastball fan. I don't see the problem here.

Good freaking Gawd.

I can't believe you choads STILL bring this shite up. We had no head coach and the coaches we had didn't give a shite since they were about to be unemployed and were looking for work. I hope we kick your asses so you will STFU about a winning a game over a beat-down team. You assholes lost to Indiana for fricks sake.

I'm not the one saying the wild hog has worked for 8 years. You guys were one garbage time td away from getting shut out. Our D was absolute shite that year too.

having less talent than your opponent generally = doing whatever it takes to make up for the talent difference. which sometimes leads to what you might call gadget plays.

if it's not that then it's just doing crazy plays that let your players have fun. sorry pinkel is anti fun

Bert is probably in the top half of the SEC in coaching ability, despite looking like fat white trailer trash. I predict he will notice that we have a harder time defending against TEs. I think he ups the ante for this game and shows up with a 4 TE set and has the ball snapped directly to a TE at least four times this game.

This will be enough for the piggies to get into field goal range twice, but not enough to stop an improved Mauk.
