So, we are about to start playing y'all in football on T+1.
Any thoughts on turn-out for the game, weather, advice for people coming up that day? Did you have a Black Friday game in the past? Is the town shutdown, what might be open, do you expect students to travel back for the game, etc?
We only played LSU in Fayetteville one time during that game's run on T+1.

I would bet the student section will be sparse, but who knows...maybe enough Arky angst built up to get them to fill it up.

I'm unsure what to expect for turnout. If we beat UT, I'd expect turnout will be pretty awesome between Hawg fans in SoMo and Mizzou fans wanting to see another SECLeast clinch. I'd expect student attendance to be down.
I may come. Haven't decided if I'm all in. If my brothers and Pops will go, I'm probably in (folks live in town, Dad retired from Mizzou). We saw the A&M game last year and it was a great experience.
Advice: bundle up!! Layers layers layers. We're a pretty hospitable crew if you're not a beaker. Expect nice, laid back Midwesterners who are more likely to be self-deprecating than they are to be arrogant. Have a burger at Booches. Or the fried green peppers with powdered sugar at Murry's. Get some donuts from Harold's for a mid morning snack. You'll have to order ahead.
Everything should be open for the town. We usually do our Black Friday shopping in CoMo. It's a blast. Enjoy!

If we can beat Ole Miss, I expect a lot more of our fans will head that way. I'm on the fence myself, but we are doing Thanksgiving near Harrison this year, so it wouldn't be a bad drive at all. CoMo is closer to NWA than Oxford or Dallas, which is weird when I think about it. Very strange how little we've played each other.

Columbia is a ghost town during holidays. I would expect attendance to be low...it's too far from STL and KC to be a convenient trip right after T-day.

I've heard of a number of people from this area looking for tickets (which means looking for reasonably priced tickets, not stub hub prices). I would say there is a fair amount of interest in the game, and the long weekend makes it a perfect opportunity for some folks who never make it up otherwise.
But with school out the crowds should be a little more manageable. I always thought Columbia was nice when all the students were out of town. Hopefully more than a handful show up for the game.
Weather could be anything from 65 and sunny to below zero wind chill. Watch the forecast and dress accordingly. As someone else mentioned, layers, layers, layers. Borrow clothes from one of your duck hunting buddies. Hope you have a good time visiting Mizzou, no matter what the weather.

Don't stereotype me. The LSU game was 29 degrees at kick-off, and I tailgated for two hours beforehand. I own Patagonia/northface/flannel-lined Mtn khakis. While not as cold as CoMo, we get winter down here, too.
