And return to Gainesville in a role similar to Barry Switzer at OU? I could see it happening, especially if these rumors of Stoops to UF come true. Spurrier loves UF and you could tell in him somber tone following ending Muschamp's career at UF. It would be very very interesting to see Stoops and Spurrier back at UF in 2015

He looks more tired than I've ever seen him. I think he is ready.

It will probably be next year.

Not saying it can't happen this year though.

He just looks done to me. I've never seen anything like the remorse it looked like he felt after that game on Saturday.

I think this is his last year. Might be Miles' too. We could see a lot of turnover in the coaching ranks this year -- and not for the normal reasons.

No

Spurrier will not retire after this season.

Now, after next season, probably.

This season wore on him some. He hates having a losing record in SEC play - it's really bothering him.

But he'll go-out after next year with the final two home games against Florida and then Clemson. It's gonna be a party. I hope I live to see it.

His post game interview definitely seemed like a "I just got that guy fired, and for what? So my crappy team can have one more victory before I retire?"

What kind of talent are you losing this year? Returning many starters?

That's b/c Muschamp is his buddy, and he knew that the loss was going to get Muschamp fired.

After he retires as the HBC, he's sticking around SC as a consultant, he and Tanner have already talked about this.

He will retire, eventually. He will stay at USC in some fashion and help with the coaching search just as Holtz did with him. Spurrier loves Carolina, it'll be a while before he settles down in Florida for good.

He doesn't look that "tired" to me. I mean, no doubt this season has been tough on him and everyone here but we could finish on a 4 game win streak with wins against Georgia, Florida, and Clemson.

You're underestimating his love for the University of Florida (his alma mater, remind you, the school he won a Heisman at, the school he put on the map and won a national championship at and he won so many conference championships at) He built Florida, he IS Florida. That cannot be understated, and his allegiance is to Florida and I don't think that will ever change.

I'm really not. I think you're disregarding facts and even underestimating his love for Carolina. He has said he's staying at USC for awhile after he retires.

He's been a gator for 60+ years. He's been a gamecock for 9 years. I'm sure he loves Carolina, but he said himself his next move is going to be to Crescent Beach. I know if he were to retire, he'd have more ties to Florida than he would have to Carolina.

Here's a way to early prediction, since we don't know who will be processed or leave early.

QB - New QB, probably Connor Mitch
RB - Wilds should return and David Williams (#2 & #3 on the depth chart.)
WR - We lose Byrd and Jones, Jones was a starter, but will return 7 of the top 9 WR's.
TE - Busta graduates, but we return our #2 and #3 TE. Adams, the #2 TE is awesome.
OL - We'll lose 2 starters, but return 4 guys with starting experience. 8 of 10 guys from the 2Deep will be back.

DE - We'll return the entire 2Deep, but it won't matter, the new talent coming in with the JUCO's/Prep/HS guys will replace them.
DT - lose 1 starter, Surrat, return 3 of 4 on the 2Deep
LB - Return entire 2Deep
Spur - Lose starter, #2 and #3 guys are back.
CB - Return entire 2Deep and get FR Mark Fields
S - Return 2 of 4 on 2 Deep, lost 1 starter.

PK - Fry is back
P - Hull is gone, We get upgraded with the #1 HS punter in the country coming in.
KR - ?
PR - Cooper is back.

Offense returns 6 starters (8 with starting experience; OL Matulis & RB Wilds)
Defense returns 9 starters (11 with starting experience; S Moody and S Elder)

15 starters returning 19 players with starting experience, and 34 of 44 on the 2 Deep for both sides coming back.
