Arkansas football and the mother of all declines.

Congrats on the win and the ending of one of the longest losing streaks in SEC Conference history.
I was looking at the history of Arkansas football and hadn't realized how far your program has declined since it was a conference and national power when you were still in the southwest conference.
From 1936-1989 the Hogs won 13 Co and/or conference championships. Winning a NC in 1964.
Since joining the SEC in 1992 the Hogs have never won the SEC or NC. The Hogs did have four SEC WEST Co- and/or division titles up until 2006 under Houston Nutt.
I have to applaud your fanbase for the passion and support you showed in supporting the Hogs at what appears to be the end of one of the nastiest declines in CFB history.
It made me realize how lucky LSU fans have been to witness multiple SEC and NC Titles in the past decade or so.
Do you think Bret is the man who will finally lead the Hogs to a conference title and into the new playoff format?
Are you old enough to remember when the Hogs were a conference/national contender and how hard has it been to go from that to celebrating the ending of one of the longest losing streaks in SEC history?
I think many LSU fans should take note of the behavior and support the Hog fans have given in the face of such a long nasty decline. Every LSU senior since 2000 has had a chance to play for at least one SEC and NC and many can't handle rebuilding while we have to watch multiple juniors perform so well in the NFL.

Whatever the OP's motive, there is a hunk of truth to his post. Arkansas athletic direction under Fran was spotty at best. He is the common denominator to fifty years of roller coasting.
No getting around it.
And then Bobby burned it down.
It hasn't been fun.
Meantime, LSU has had some great success in many facets of their athletic program.
Your football program will rebound from this year's minor slump.
And Arkansas looks to be climbing out of the ashes.
And SECw will be the best conference for a very long time.
I'm glad our streak is over. And glad it ended with a worthy opponent.

I actually wanted to get some replies about the mother of all declines in Arkansas football.
Apparently the stiff dew was too much for the Hog fans to handle.
