What I love about this is that he kind of came out of nowhere (to me, at least).
Usually you can see a total beast OL coming. Pyke seemed to come from nowhere. And it's almost a miracle to have something like that happen on the OL. Especially our OL. And he is going to be a superstar for us. As good as any we have had here.

OL recruiting is a crap shoot at best.

I believe Pyke was maybe a 3 star at best...not many big time offers (Duke,Wake,Maryland etc)

He was a 3 star but he's more athletic than most linemen his size and his offer sheet was about what you posted.

Yea - 3 star prospect with decent offers, nothing great. Radio guys were raving about him last night and he sort of came out of no where for me as well. Smart kid and one of the best we've had for sure. Need more studs like him and leaders like Andrews. Solid offensive line unit.
