This season is trash, doesn't mean our coaches are bad.

Seriously. CEJ needs players on defense. What does he have? Converted WR and undersized at 5 positions and a trash d line. It isn't his fault that in our second year we don't have a well developed pass rush.

Offense should have done better today but special teams couldn't get them on the field and the defense was so bad that our TOP was trash.

bottom line, I know a lot of you want to hit the panic button but it just isn't time for that yet.

Tackling isn't a "his players" issue. Neither are blown coverages. They are more often getting beat because they screw up, not because the other team makes a good play.

Don't remember Nick Chubb passing the ball.

We have had 3 different special teams plays in two games that have led to TDs either on the play or in the drive resulting from the converted 4th down. Add in a KO that almost was a TD and a fake punt that should have been a 1st. Don't forget that Tyler Lockett torched us against KSt and we lost because of ST in the NC game last year

Don't fire everyone, just the frickups. Specifically anyone not named Garner that is on ST or Defense side of the ball.

This season totally rests on the coaches shoulders. And you want to bring up Trevon Reed as a reason to keep Johnson's old arse? $aban didn't have a problem converting Javier Arenas when he got to uat. This defensive coaching staff sucks, plain and simple.

The fact that we have regressed during the season is on the coaching. Players are developed during practice. Technique is taught during practice. This goes far past a talent issue. This is Chiz era D we have been seeing the last month. That team quit last night. That is a horrible sign.

As bad as it looked on D, if our Offense would have scored 35 pts - which is below average - we win. It's not like GA hung 60 on us or something.

In retrospect that is true.

Auburn scored 7 points. It was an offense scoring 38+ points per game going into the game. It went up against a defense that allowed UF with a new QB rack up 400+ yards rushing.

Problem is we aren't bringing those players in.

If you think this year's is bad wait until you see next year and the couple of years after that.

Our DTs are the only defensive unit that holds their own. They could do a little better but 9/10 on big runs it is our LBs unblocked who don't fill the hole.

Kris Frost in particular cowers in fear like a bitch when he has to plug a hole.

Cass McKinzy may not be smart enough to know what hole he should cover half the time

Forgot to say it won't be great but will be improved. We will have solid pass rush from our DEs for a change and Adams and Russell should be solid. 4th quarter we may get raped

I can't point to it either. Some plays/series our D line looked great containing Gurley, even getting after him when he bounced it outside. Other plays - like his short yd TD - had guys like Garrett taking angles that even I would not do if suited up. (What the hell WAS Garrett doing on that play??)

On offense though, our O line was being pushed backwards more often than not. Watch the replay. That's all you need to see. Can't explain it - those guys had been getting push. But didn't last night. Guys like Coleman are unable to stop athletic, fast ends - for the 2nd straight week. He has no business being Nick's blind side.

Dropped balls weren't plentiful - but the ones dropped put us at bad down and distance.

Special teams sucked, but we could have overcome that w a normal O output.

Nick and Cap continue to leave their heart on the field. No one wants to win more than those guys. All the blog calls for JJ continue to baffle me.

It's crazy to think as bad as it turned out if we don't find a way to miss that blocked punt, when it was almost impossible to miss that game is probably tied going into the half...

Or if we catch the earlier punt...

Or if Gus doesn't punt it away on 4th and 1 near midfield when we had momentum...

Every game we just find new ways to lose and every unit has taken their turn in it.

I am in the NM camp. He deserves to start the rest of the way out.

JJ is not an automatic when he comes in. He needs play time of for next year.

We lead the SEC in penalties.

And it's not close.

bullshite. The real question is Will Gus be like Tubberville and refuse to make needed changes? Changes are needed on the defensive staff and the Special Teams coach needs to be fired. If Gus gets stubborn and doesn't get the problems fixed, he will be on the hot seat in a year or two.

We better start recruiting some defensive players. But it seems like no one wants to come play in this scheme or for EJ.

this literally happened last night. The hole opened up and Frost froze like a deer in headlights when he saw Chubb.

I asked the question last year if Scott Fountain was a one and done. Sadly that was not the case.
