Short answer - read the post right after yours.
Longer answer - I absolutely believe in respectful discourse. To me, it is fun and friendly to have a little back and forth before the game is played. Once the game is played, I believe in being gracious about the outcome either way. I don't get into it AFTER the game unless it's a response to something someone else says.
After joking around, if we win, I can be respectful and enjoy the win quietly. If we lose, nothing needs to be said from our end anyway - may as well be respectful and acknowledge the other team's victory.

I was actually thinking you have enough championships, like 13... 14... 27..28... 100.. 200? However you like to count them, that you would consider letting us just go ahead and finish out the season with the #1 spot.

No, USM beat the shite outa us before that game & we'd also lost to Florida.
UF offered to forfeit the game, after the fact; but, we declined the retro co-SEC championship (UGA).
Can't imagine AlaBama not picking up a retro one, if we'd offered to forfeit...
Opened the door for UGA to win it all; that & they had neither State, nor AlaBama on they ;/) schedule.
