A gift for our Tennessee fans who may be feeling low after losing eight straight to Alabama. A 41-14 bombing of their hated rival and the beginning of a win streak that would eventually extend to seven games.
This game is also significant as it is one of the first broadcasts in SEC history to have the time remaining and score graphics remain on the screen for the game's duration. A critical evolution in sports broadcasting.

I can't bring myself to watch it. It was hard enough the first time.
Cool of you to post it though.

You know Dobbs is going to bust an 80 yard run to break the streak next year and direct the band like Peyton.
Thanks for the reminder.

That game sorta ushered in Alabama's slide into inconsistency and Tennessee's rise as a national power, ushering in a stretch where the SEC East dominated the West
In the early to mid 90's Florida and Alabama were the two big cheeses in the SEC. 91-94 were elite years for Bama and they slugged it out with Florida in the East.
But from the mid 90's until the early 2000's, the SEC East had the 2 best teams in the conference and everybody else was just sort there.
Things were balanced again for about 5 years, and the last 5-6 years the West has been dominant.
Fortunes change.
