Mizzou might win the East, but they'll be crushed by the West team in Atlanta, whoever that may be.

Y'all got your own problems this year. You're staring down 8-4. Sad day when the Angels left the field. I'd be reliving last year, too.

I never knew that a 28-21 win that was tied until 3:30 minutes remained constituted crushing the opponent.

Well, the East is pretty much summed up in the scenarios.
This weekend Georgia can A. clinch the east. B. be eliminated with 2 weeks to go. or C. Something in between.
The article is true though. IF IF IF the West champion has 1 loss, and by some miracle Mizzou wins, it would definitely screw the SEC's chances for getting a team into the playoff.

Yeah, but Missouri is not relevant. At all.
Not even a little bit.

Mizzou has been defined by a few things, the loss at home to Indiana, that miracle hail mary at South Carolina eventually winning, and beating all the mediocre teams in the East except Georgia. Mizzou is just now hitting the meat of their schedule with road games at A&M, Tennessee, and home against Arkansas. If they win all three of those, they'll compete with whoever they play in the west, and there is no reason to think otherwise.
I personally think there is a 99% chance they lose one, 75% chance they lose two, and a 50% chance they lose all three.
What I haven't heard people talking about is if Florida beats South Carolina, which is very possible, and Mizzou loses the next three, also possible.
Yes, Florida HAD a bad offense with Jeff Driskel, but they have since fixed that problem. They would already have one more win, Idaho, had the game not been cancelled, and even with the turnovers, they were a dropped pass from beating LSU. Yes Florida is 5-3, they could easily be 7-2 and ranked. They were tied with Alabama in T-town at halftime without an offense. By the end of the season, they will be able to compete with anybody the west puts in the dome. I'm saying this and I hate Florida.
People need to cut the crap about Florida being a bad team. The argument is losing validity by the week, and is basically null and void when Driskel is not under center.

I didn't read the article, but I don't think a team that lost to Indiana is good enough to cause much chaos

This is not last year's Mizzou team....and the West, as a whole, is a lot stronger than it was last year.
