Thoughts on LSU/Bama

My first time on here since before the game, I just wanted to offer my thoughts on the game without flames.
This game was so much like the 2012 game that it hurts. LSU had the game won, only to fold on the final drive for Bama. I knew when the game went to OT that we were going to lose. That being said, Bama and Sims especially carried themselves like pros and never let all that was going against them that night stop them. I was very impressed with them.
Even though it's to Bama, this is an easy loss for me to shrug off. LSU has improved so much defensively since the beginning of the season, I'm very excited for next year. The playcalling in OT for LSU was questionable with 4 straight passes, but Bama had also shown that they were done being run on. It's hard to believe we put up 180 rushing yards and still lost.
Cooper is a one of a kind receiver. Rarely do you see a successful offense centered on a receiver, but he is just that good.
The officiating was God awful, and it hurt both teams.
TL;DR: Good game Bama, sucks that you stole another one from us.

It was a great game all around as far as competitiveness is concerned.
Great win for the Tide - even most of their players acted with class.

I know it sucks to lose one like that. Good luck the rest of the year.

No idea why Bama threw the ball so much. Yeldon was averaging chunks per carry and they threw it like 45 times. Absolutely stupid.

I would say the same, but I kind of have a soft spot for MSU this year
Good luck in the sense that nobody gets injured or anything like that.

I totally agree with this. They refused to try us where we were weak. Kiffin is going to cost Bama some big games if he keeps that up.

Seemed like a typical LSU/Bama game as of late (2012-now). LSU comes out with more energy and plays well, but can't avoid critical mistakes. Miles will get a lot of grief for the four straight losses, but I often feel like he has his team more prepared to play, while Saban's team almost seems tight. Ultimately though, LSU makes too many mental mistakes, both on the field and sidelines, to win the game. That's really the difference between the two programs. Both have great players and great coaches, but Bama makes fewer game-changing mistakes.

Agree - our offense always seems tight and out of sync against you guys, especially in Tiger Stadium.
Our defense on the other hand always comes to play.

I fricking hate games like this. I would have preferred a 21-0 beating over this. 4 in a row and seeing those Louisiana boys celebrating made it so much worse. I never have anything bad to say about Bama as I have so much respect for their football program, but it absolutely sucks losing to them this way.

Two devastating home loses to Alabama. You can't afford to have mental break downs when you play a team like that. Although I will say both teams had their fair share of mental break downs.
Two power house football teams that left it all on the field that night.

You could almost say we are better at beating ourselves than they are.

it does sting 4 in a row.
Numbers don't lie. All we can do is sit and say we were 'this' close 2 out of the last 4.
Hats off to Bama. Much respect as always.

SEC Haters Kannel(sp?) and Galloway are thoroughly unimpressed with Bama and not giving them any props on CFB Live just now. They struggled to even say winning at LSU at night is a good win.
