I still think it's tough to top '00 tennessee. When a player intercepts the ball with 1:35 left in the game and an entire endzone follows him to midfield, you don't see that everyday. Having to call the game before 0:00 because a quarter of the field is already full and people are already on the goalposts is pretty rad.

It's coming down after either this season or the next.

I like it though.

No

If you notice, goalposts only come down at shitty football schools. Most major football programs have security ready to protect the goalpost at the end of every win regardless of opponent.

Goalposts come down because a team sucks and beat an elite team. The school was never expecting it so they weren't prepared.

The iron bowl field Rush was due to the excitement of the GOAT play

ETA that's as of the 21st century when most schools got goalposts that are intentionally collapsed

Congrats. That must have been an incredible feeling to stop your rivals from winning their third straight national championship.

We will never get to experience that feeling.

I was at Legion Field when AU beat Bama 23-22 to end a 10 year drought. Bo over the top in 1982. I was on the field and on the goal posts that day. Pretty fricking awesome.

1. I made no statement speculating on why they rushed the field.
2. The fact that you think you can speak intelligently on the reason everyone rushed the field is hilarious, and typical for you.
3. Ozymandius.
