Based on a formula using returning players stats and projections from newcomers. It's updated every day throughout the season. I believe by Feb. 1 it's all results based. This is one piece of criteria used the selection committee.

2. Kentucky
7. Florida
44. Arkansas
48. Georgia
58. Alabama
61. Tennessee
68. Texas A&M
73. LSU
83. Mississippi State
87. South Carolina
88. Ole Miss
91. Vanderbilt
98. Missouri
137. Auburn

We have been a bubble team every year under AK. This year won't be any different.

It seems everyone has upped their ante in the OOC. Would be nice to see everybody do well in it and change those numbers.

We will be better than that. We have some new guys that are at transfers that will fit it pretty well to what we are trying to do.

I guess our schedule is better than some other teams in the league, but our OOC schedule has taken a step back.

From those rankings we face
4. Kansas (neutral)
17. VCU (neutral)
31. Kansas State (home)
60. NC State (away)
67. Butler (home)
86. Marquette (neutral)
129. Santa Clara (neutral)
169. Mercer (home)
195. ETSU (home)
266. Texas Southern (home)
274. Tennessee Tech (home)
311. Tennessee State (home)

Playing as many 250+ teams as top 50 teams is not good. Need Butler, NC State and Marquette to be better than expected.

We badly need to get Memphis and another premier H&H back on our schedule.

Obligatory Reb talking sh*t rather lamely post. With 56 victories and 2 NIT's the past 3 seasons, it's not like LSU is currently climbing up from college basketball's abyss. They return two starting forwards who will play in the NBA and added 5 very good players, two with Div. I starting experience. The 73 ranking is pretty much a sign of ignorance from what I've see at a couple of practices. This team is deep, with NBA size in the frontcourt and several 3-point threats. JC AA point guard will open some eyes very quickly, as will Mr. Hornsby.
