When Alabama finishes 8-4 this year, what will the excuse be?

They will probably look back and be thankful that they squeaked out the one point win over Arkansas and held on against Tennessee. Otherwise, it would have been 6-6.

At least they'll have the West Virginia, Florida, and Texas A&M victories to remember.

They will wonder why they decided to beat themselves 4 times in one season, but will ultimately decide that coach knows best and remind us all of that championship in 1925.

They'll be like "if you ain't playing for a championship why play at all"

Probably the same ones you used last year at 9-3

Was just about to ask you the same question concerning LSU. If it happens, there will be no excuses from me. I am a lowly high school coach and realist and sometimes you just get your arse beat. Thanks for the concern though.

Mary Landrieu ate the bus with all the first-stringers on board.

Good point. So, when LSU beats them this week, they will have nothing left to play for. We all know that Alabama loses at that point because they only get up for championships. So, they will have no motivation for State or Auburn or their bowl game.

Make it 8-5 and none of it mattered anyway.

Well I, for one, will be sure to visit this thread to reflect, along with the 5 others with almost exactly the same title.

I enjoy your effort, and will play along, but keep in mind we really need them to win out after losing to LSU.

I'm going to the iron bowl, and if everything some how works out the way we need it to, I'm wearing a big AL suit and might even shake a pom pom until my arm falls off.

Probably that several key players were injured during Bama's fourth consecutive victory over LSU.

8-4 is a stretch.

I think they'll lose 3 times.
