And the millennials don't care about social security which is just as selfish.

No, their offspring-Generation X. Why? Because Gen X gave us the millennials, the worst generation in hundreds of years.

frick you, it's not selfish to want to phase out a program that will eventually go broke and has a negative rate of return.

It's almost like people only want spending that has a direct impact on them.

I'd be willing to let Social Security keep every penny that I've paid in so far, and continue to do so until I turn 40 (9 years from now), and pay me nothing back, if I can opt out of SS/ have a mandatory 15% deducted from my income into a privatized retirement account.

These fricking people duke, don't understand what you and I are doing. If I were put in charge this whole shot would be fixed and everyone would be acting proper in no time.

Amazing. Was there any way to learn this without this bar graph I saw on reddit earlier today?

That's not the question being presented here. This graph reflects how much, given the current situation, people want their tax dollars spent. And telling someone, "frick you", is awfully rude.

Absolutely they are. Pampered babies. thug POS.

They've been behind the greed culture that has destroyed the way of life they basked in.

If you and your generation are worth a damn you would be able to overcome anything a prior generation may have fricked up.

Seeing you and others moaning and bitching is not a good sign.

I agree. So what if the baby boomers left it worse than when they got it? Technology is off the chains. shite is pretty clean. Crime is down. Ubers are cheaper than cabs. Fireball eliminates the need for chasers. The SEC has its own network. You can swipe right to get laid.

I work hard, but my life is pretty kick arse, even if the boomers rigged it against me. I make six figures at 25. Student loans just got paid off. Retirement/investments just passed 110k last paycheck. No car payment. I just went to New Zealand for a week. Life is pretty kick arse.

Granted I went to a good college, which most on this board outside the few Vandy posters didn't, but it ain't that hard. Life isn't fair, but it ain't impossible.

I was just telling my dad the other day how much his generation has fricked this country.

He ignored me, and continued to watch Sean Hannity.

I'll add, the boomers really did have it the best. From the automobiles and cheap kicks, to women that knew their place and getting beat-up was about the worst thing that could happen to you. Just untainted American culture the way it was supposed to be. Damn, it's gone.

The millennials are wise not to care about SS. It wont be there when they get old enough. The govt is fricking that up left and right and has for years.
