If the current trend keeps up, Falcons will be looking for a new coach at the end of the season and there is speculation that Gus Malzahn would be the first name on the Falcons list.

It would be scary to see what that guy could do with Matt Ryan, Roddy White, and Julio Jones.

Eta: you fricking wish. Gus isn't leaving any time soon or getting an NFL offer any time soon. And if he did, he wouldn't go to a team with zero offensive line and shite running backs

Ryan can't run and White and Jones aren't RBs, so I'd doubt much of anything.

Seriously doubt this. The Falcons are in no way built for the read option style offense.

This would be an awful hire as a Falcons fan

So a team which was screwed over by a college coach is willing to offer to a college coach? Troll harder.

If by "word on the street" you mean from your imagination, I believe it.

Gus will never be an NFL head coach. His style isn't built for that game. He is a great college coach.

Falcons will be looking for a new coach regardless of how this season pans out. Mike Smith is dead in the water.

Jesus damn Christ I hope not.

Haven't they already tried a college coach with a gimmick offense?

To be fair, I didn't think Chip kelly would go to the NFL. That said, yeah, I doubt Gus leaves for the league anytime soon.
