They were even trying to drown out the fourth quarter song that had nothing to do with any play on the field. I got a kick out of it.

Meh. It was a "you had to be there" type of thing. We'd start a song and they'd try to play right over us. I didn't mind it at all.

Appearently Dr. Ozello got a VERY nast email from a UT fan saying how we were out-playing their band.

Was this your first football game? It happens every time. When you play a song after every single play, you will be playing at the same time as the other band almost all night.
Maybe our drum major was a split second faster than theirs was.

No it wasn't my first game. On other games I've attended it seemed that whomever started a song got to finish it before the other team would chime in.

There's not enough time for between plays for bands to do that. Our band starts immediately after each play. They don't give a shite what the other band is doing.

Most of the time we can't see/ hear the other band. We play after every down and timeout, just like we do at home.

Rammer Jammer is classless and I wish we would stop. I'm a double grad from UA if that matters.
