For those of you older than 31, is this the best OM team you have ever seen?

Because 48 hours prior to The Butthurt of 2014 our highly-respected Ole Miss expert deemed it so.

quote:

This is the best Ole Miss team I have ever seen and I am 31 years old.

-Sorantable

Who am I to disagree with him. This IS inarguably the best team Ole Miss has had since Sorantable's birth. It was such an honor to beat that best ever Ole Miss team with the 19th best LSU team of my life.

The '03 team with Eli was pretty damn good too. Not sure which is better, but I'm leaning to the Eli team.

Like I said last night I think this could still be the best team in the nation. If they could get just a little running going.

It's better than their 2008 squad who is often undervalued but was a great team. Had an argument to be third best SEC team that year.

I don't think it's a better team than their 2003 squad.

What sucked about 2003 is you guys got to go to ATL for winning. Despite the loss last night, OM still has a shot.

Last night was the best defensive performance I've seen this year.

Well....Im more than twice that age and I remember the Johnny Vaught teams of the early 60s that dominated a lot. By the mid 60s the decline was on...social atmosphere of racisi tension was partly to blame and the other was economics...Mississippi is a poor state.
UF played Ole Miss back in 1964 in Spurriers first year and we beat them 30-14 if memory serves me right.
The best team in the state now is Moo State after watching them vs UK...they have the countrys best OL and DL imo. Ole Miss is also a very good team and they play AU at home....too bad for Auburn because Im sure Ole Miss is pizzed.

I'd say it is the best, well . . . I'll say that OM has better athletes/recruits now than at any time I can remember. Thus, they are dangerous.

I think we have to defer to the expert here. If Soranatable thinks it is the best Ole Miss team of his lifetime, that is good enough for me.

Struggling LSU team: 10
Best Ever Ole Miss team "Ever" of Sorantable's 31 years on the planet: 7

So sayeth Ye Football Gods.

if you can't run vs the LSU dline, you can't run very well.

now that dline is improving and the linebacker play has improved as well but still we stuffed their run all night

What in the literal frick? LSU got obliterated by Auburn and manhandled by Mississippi State. And you think you can be the best team in the nation? Is this real life?!

When Eli was at Ole Miss they were pretty good. Otherwise, just a middle of the road SEC team. Usually one you can put in the W column.
