Us thinking we are going to beat the shite out of LSU has no relation to our players possibly "overlooking" them. There will be 103,000+ in Tiger Stadium, on a Saturday night, against a top 25 rival team that's in our way of an 8-0 start. It's impossible to "overlook" that.
I never once said they were.

If their team is overlooking this as much as most of their fans are, LSU will beat that arse. This will be a telling game in the west, the next two weeks things will start to take shape.

LSU winning with more Than one coach isn't a myth. lsu is bigger than its coach. Ole miss is not bigger than freeze, but lsu is bigger than miles

The fact that you would even question it is silly

quote:wow! Hadn't ever seen that quote. I'm assuming he was talking about the Usc game in '79? That's gotta be the most impressive quote about tiger stadium I've ever seen.

We're baaaaaaaaaaaacckkkkk....
"It's probably the only time in my life I was intimidated by the crowd. A lot of great players have played in that stadium, but I don't know if any team has walked into that stadium and dealt with what we went through. From the time we landed to the time we left, I don't know if a team has ever gone through that. Every one of us left that night saying 'that was a game,' but I still think about it that way. I haven't been in an event like that at any level of football. Out of all the games I've ever played in, I've never been in anything like that, and I am including my Super Bowls in that assessment." - NFL Hall of Famer, Ronnie Lott

Ronnie should have gone to Bama. Bama pays taxes on that dump.

"It's mostly dovetailing off the past glories. But the old gal still has life in her... And there are times, throughout it's storied history that it comes alive with drunken Cajuns spewing filth and hate and expletives at her most hated enemies... "
When exactly was this? And these numerous past glories?
The first time I saw Draconian refer to Tiger Stadium as "one of the most storied venues in college football" I laughed. Do LSU fans realize that prior to 2003, only but the most ardent college football even knew LSU was in Baton Rouge? Before Nick came along, LSU had no more historical relevance than a Syracuse or a TCU. This over-inflated sense of where LSU and Tiger Stadium fit in the college football landscape is humorous*.
*The earthquake game story is bullshite

ole miss has one good year and they think they are going to dominate everyone. LSU has one bad year and thinks everyone is going to dominate them. What is going on this year? Win of lose I just want to watch some good football in tiger stadium.

I love Hugh Freeze and what he's done at Ole Miss.
I love what Ole Miss did to alakiffen.
I even loved Archie Who.
But this is where national championship dreams, and for that matter SEC championship dreams reveal themselves as the kind of dream all Mississippi good ole boys know best... wet... All Wet.

I think Toby Keith said it best, "I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was." I think Tiger Stadium will get rocking Saturday night. Hopefully the score will stay close and the crowd will stay in the game.
