Anyone going? In all my years and all the Iron Bowls, I've never managed to go to a game in Ttown. My 15 yr old wants to go this year. Any thoughts, ideas, or concerns?

We know at least one tailgate we can hit.

I had a lot of fun before and during the second half of the 2010 iron bowl

The town was dead after we beat them though. And as I walked out of the stadium I got a lot of drunken Bama fans throwing elbows into my ribs as I walked out

So it's fun, but they don't do well at all when they lose to us at home

I leave all that shite to you younger folk. I just go to home games these days.

Additionally, I have no interest at all in setting foot into that shithole.

Bama fans that can afford tickets act respectful for the most part in person.

Went in 2010 most recently, you'll have a good time. I go to bama games a few times a year their fans aren't as bad as they are on here or tidefans.

I've been to every iron bowl since 98. TTown is fun enough. It's worth going just for the experience.

It depends on how you conduct yourself. If you give shite prepare to take it. If you act responsibly then you'll have a good time..especially if Auburn wins on a 24-0 comeback train

Are there any to-dos when there? Like Toomers Drugs, Anders, etc, etc

The quad is kinda cool I guess. Nothing compares to the traditions like Toomer's Corner, TigerWalk, or the eagle flight.

I'd put Fayetteville, Athens, and Oxford road trips over Ttown all day long.

Last one I went I was 2000 i believe. Sat right in the middle of the Bama student section not far from the band with some buddies that were Bama students.

Cheered loud for AU throughout and didn't hold back much. Got shite thrown at and on me, bottles, cups, drinks, etc. Didn't give a frick, flipped some people off with a big smile while we whipped their arse. Lot of other Bama students around me were getting pissed off as they were getting hit with crap too and weren't having as much fun as me.

2000 for me. Cold as shite with rain and sleet and we got the shutout too. Any gump in that crowd had a truly miserable day. Picked up a ticket for 5 bucks in the upper deck under the overhang. I was high and dry and loving 9-0

Also, FTR, I doubt I would go to another in turdville if I wasn't in the AU section. No way I would attempt or even be able to control myself and stay peaceful during the game and unlike 14 years ago, I have little interest in acting a fool in enemy territory and potentially getting in a fight. Not anymore.

Miserable game with the cold and rain but we were supposed to lose badly and it was all worth it.

I hate to say it but when I went in 2010 the biggest a-hole I encountered was an Auburn fan. We were in line getting drinks and he kept hollering that this was the biggest shithole he had ever been to. He looked at me because I was wearing an Auburn shirt and said " Is this not the trashiest stadium you have ever been to?" I told him to shut the F up he was making us all look bad.

To answer your question though it is a great stadium to watch a game in especially when we win.

Yea that's actually a really nice place to watch a game, I've sat in the endzone upper deck, and in 2010 sat right behind the endzone maybe 20 rows up.

Yep. Really nice stadium and neat campus. Just happens to be surrounded by one of the dirtiest towns in the state.
