A) Win out, but Miss State also wins out; or

B)Win out and MSU loses to Bama and Ole Miss (who also loses to LSU this weekend).

ETA: just for clarification, this only applies to regular season play.

B then a. However for a, we would need them to win the seccg as well.

A. I don't care for the SECCG if it could possibly ruin our hopes for the playoff

With a playoff, its not as cut and dry. If scenario A occurs, our sole loss would be to the #1 team with victories over 4 top 10 teams (KSU, ole miss, uga, bama) and we wouldnt have the threat of havibg to play uga again in the sec championship. Plus, MSU could lose to uga in the sec championship game, but that would likely mean they would get the nod over us as secs 1 loss team, but that's not a given. I guess it boils down to whether you believe sec will in fact get 2 in.

The one where we have the best record and go to the SECCG. Doesn't seem like much of a decision.

Stop, if we win the SEC at 11-1, Auburn is going to the playoffs. The other scenario leaves us open to a committee choosing based on a criteria no one really knows.

But you are saying if we win the SEC. Of course if we win the sec at 11-1 that's what I would pick, but my scenario is win out and have to play uga in the sec champ a second time (with a risk of losing) or win out but not play the sec champ and roll the dice as a non-con champ play off team.

Well I guess the way I crafted my scenarios you are right to a degree, but getting to the sec champ is completely out of our control. Both scenarios have us winning out.

I'll take Atl and a chance to win the SEC over a sure fire playoff invite in this hypothetical scenario.

If we lose in Atl and don't make the playoff, so be it.

I would much rather go to ATL and play UGA for the SECCG because if we lose we didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. I like SEC hardware to go along with NC's.

These are the type answers I was looking for.

Honestly A right now. I think we could face State in NOLA and beat their arse. Then play FSU again in Dallas. I wouldn't want to play UGA twice.

I would choose B so we control our own destiny and have a shot at back to back SEC Championships (which hasn't been done since the 90s)

the best and easiest answer right now is C. AU win out and Ole Miss out minus the AU game. If that happens it does not matter if Miss St. beats Bama. If Miss St loses to Bama there would be a 2 way tie between AU and Ole Miss with AU getting the head to head breaker. If Miss St beats Bama making AU, MSU, & Ole Miss 7-1 overall and 1-1 versus each other then the tie breaker goes down to record of SEC East opponents. AU would win a 3 way tie over MSU & OM given The combined SEC record of UGA and SCe will be better than UK + Vandy for MSU and Vandy + UT for OM. Obviously if Ole Miss losses to LSU Saturday then B would be a must. I'm pulling for Ole Miss to run the table minuss losing to us because I think the Rebs have a better chance of doing that than MSU losing 2 games as would then be needed.

Here is another question:

Which is a more impressive accomplishment this year, winning the SEC or national championship?

Winning the national championship. That means you either won the SEC or beat the team that did.
The answer to that is always the national championship
