Probably won't know until the game.

That's not something they'll come out and say.

The only one I have seen alluded to by coach is Smith looks to get more playing time and has made a big leap during the off week.

Malzahn said Greg Robinson taught him a lesson. If he had to do all over again he would have played GRob his freshman year. He realized he only has talent like that for three years. Sounds like Bradens performance is forcing him to play him more.

quote:

“Man, that kid there,” Young said. “That’s not a kid. That’s a man. He’s a great, great athlete. He doesn’t talk much, but he gets the job done and does what he’s supposed to do on the field. He’s a great person to have playing next to you on the offensive line.”

Smith, a 6-foot-6, 299-pound freshman from Olathe, Kan., spent practices during Auburn’s open week working at left guard after working at left tackle since preseason. He got some work with the first team with some starters sitting out because of minor injuries.

I read an ITAT premium article with quotes from Lashlee that said we would start the same group that has started the last 2 games.

Yep... our depth on the OL has taken some serious hits this year... at this point, not sure who we could turn to and expect better results... with Kozan out and Miller banged up.

I think the BYE week will give these guys some time to gel. Plus we will be seeing more of Braden Smith in some capacity. Supposedly he is showing out to be a True FR. I wish he could play FB/HB until Cox gets here.

How many teams can absorb having two OL starters miss significant time?... it is what it is.

The five guys who will start Saturday are capable... hopefully they've gelled more over the bye week. We'll see.

No major changes but contingency plans are in place in case of another injury.

As to CAP and ROC, I think that makes a difference in how the oline looks. Gus said there's a strategic plan for the second half, Roc will be more involved.

14-1.
