I've been reading his twitter junk since he initially came on at ESPN.

Those arguments don't bother me. The subject is quite interesting actually. I can't think of many issues outside of politics where one side of an argument can continuously spout completely false shite.
SEC bias/homerism absolutely can get out of hand, but by and large, the conference backs up 90% of the "bias."
As for the OP, I can see a legit argument if I look hard enough. I subconsciously pull the "SEC is simply the best just beating each other" line sometimes, holding other conferences to an unfair standard. I can generally come to a pretty fair conclusion on things though.

I'm just going to say I disagree. The only place he is even SEMI-reasonable is when they actually put him on Sportscenter.
He isn't quite twitter level bad on Van Pelt's show solely because he knows Van Pelt and Russillo will tear him a new one, but he still loves the obnoxious over-the top "anti-SEC" guy stuff.
Not to mention that whole "QB Hot Ratings" or whatever they make him do is a total disaster. He has been explaining what it means for a full year now and it still makes no sense. Somebody at ESPN needs to help him out and yank that thing (they may have already).

If Kannell's going to use the transitive property, he should go all in, like this guy. (Using a reasonable transitivity measure, the top 4 teams are in the SECw.)

I'm surprised Russillo stopped watching NBA preseason long enough to pay attention to college football. It can be August, and Russillo will talk about the NBA. He drags SVP show down and when SVP isn't there the show is really in the toilet. Not to mention that Russillo is just a whiny bitch in any disagreement.

I agree with Reaux. There are times when I 100% have admitted to myself that the SEC isn't really as good as some in the media are saying it is, though I think there are a lot of self-loving dissenters in the media who love to say "the media" loves the SEC when in reality they are those folks and they aren't on board with SEC supremecy.
However, most of the other leagues just don't have the same type of national level depth that the SEC has, and when they don't live up to hype those teams just kind of fade away. When a hyped SEC team fades the media lets EVERYONE know about it.
Take the Pac 12 - UCLA, Washington State, Stanford and USC have all been very underwhelming after being highly thought of in the preseason. Now, the Pac 12 isn't being talked about as league 1A, but they also aren't getting pointed out and laughed at by the media as being overrated. They are just being ignored.
It's just part of being the big dog. You get all the praise when you win and all the "see told you they were overrated" when you don't.

It wasn't even an argument because Russillo just owned him.
SVP and Russillo is the best show on ESPN btw

Yep, they have legitimate serious conversations but aren't boring. I feel like they are the only guys on radio nationally that I feel like think and then express their thoughts the same way I try to, if that makes sense.
Nothing they do feels like some sort of pre-medidated radio schtick thing.

Yep, but that's life. Gotta deal with failure with as much grace as success. I've seen a shift in the media though, finally.
For a solid 5 years in a row every damn season started with "this is the year where the SEC falls off." And that was 70% of the media it seemed like. Now it's "who will be the team to step up and challenge this dominant conference."
Herbie comes to mind, he's been all about the SEC for a while now. Guess they got tired of looking silly.

Vegas isn't about getting the point spreads real, it's about betting.

How do you people not understand that this is just a reinforcement of Kanells argument? By the way, I am not claiming these things as my own opinion, I'm just trying to provide some clarity.
Yea but you also said the SEC performed poorly in bowls so your opinions or attempts at clarity can't be taken seriously.

Russillo called him out on his bullshite, and it was awesome.

How come you wont respond to the prior posters post on the SEC performance in bowl games outside the national title?

Yes, but those differences aren't 17 pts. The line may be 2-3 pts one way or another to hedge, but they aren't 3 TDs different due to that.
