Gotta take advantage of every game Bumgarner isn't pitching in.

True words but I think the downtime and "Ace hurler Big Game James" added up to a big loss. I'm not so sure Bumgardner will be as fortunate next time. They should have gotten to him in the first game. He was having some control issues in the early innings. They also beat him in the regular season. The Royals approach may be different if there is a next time around.

The problem with game 1 was they were so pumped they were swinging for the fences. They seem to of realized that's not the type of game they play.

When they play Bumgarner again they just need to stay within themselves and do what got them this far.....great defense, timely hitting, and great pitching.

Is Bumgarner going to go on short rest? They almost have to. I think the only way the Giants have a chance is if Bumgarner throws 3 times but him going on short rest makes him less effective. Royals in a good spot after tonight. I wouldn't even sweat Bumgarner. He can't beat y'all himself. At most he gets them 3 wins. Just keep winning the rest.

I will say the same thing about Bumgarner as I said about whoever y'all played earlier. It's not about beating him. It's about outlasting him. Work his pitch count. Keep it close. Get to their bullpen. Then beat them.

100% right.

I haven't seen them try a single bunt in several games now. Maybe the timing just isn't right. But man, with Moose, and the shifts other teams lay on him, it begs for a bunt down third base line. It doesn't have to be perfect, just hard enough to get past the pitcher. He's already showed he can do it this year.

Didn't Bumgarner pitch in August when Royals swept Giants in KC?

We had amnesty days back in August before the season. Those that were given a second chance but all they want to do is continue to be a jackass, they will be gone forthright again.

He did and it was a similar approach. He arguably threw a better game than Vargas but y'all scored a couple early, kept it tied until the 6th and then went ahead. Same approach. Don't try or expect too much early. Keep it close. Work his count (he threw 123 in 8 innings that regular season game) and get to him or the bullpen late.

Nothing like 2-2 in the WS for suspense. Tough loss last night.

Go Royals!

Wow...just a stellar performance by the Royals in game six!

It is about time for another WS banner in KC.

Was Gordon running the whole way? I was surprised he didn't score on that. No way he would have scored if sent, but I'm wondering if he had eased up earlier somewhere along the way.
