I see a loss to Auburn and if we are lucky a split with LSU and Mizzou.
No way do I see better than 7-5 and 6-6 is not out of reach

Yes. We will be 7-5 or 6-6. I don't see us beating LSU, Mizzou looks like a possibility but not a strong one

I refuse to accept that LSU is a given loss. Could be stubborn on my part. But I'm not scared of them yet just because they beat Florida and Kentucky. Will wait and see how they fare against Ole Miss and Alabama.

But if we play the same way we did against Bama, then we won't win another game.

I have a Chris Madrid's bet that we go 7-5. So we're going 7-5

Is it bad that I'm no longer melting and

At first I was extremely mad, but I later realized that outside of the USC game, everything has gone as expected. Of course, the Alabama loss stings and the margin of defeat was of epic failure, but maybe we need this loss in order to wake up the staff and players. The rest of the year should be focused on player rotation and building depth (which has been a problem on defense since the Sherman days) If we aren't making the playoffs, let's stop trying to win and try to improve instead. Forget the W/L column, its irrelevant now.

Not bad, I think that's healthy

I think I quit melting about the time Sims scrambled for that long TD. At that point, it was already out of hand, and I just sat back and laughed at the ridiculousness of the situation.

2014 was supposed to be the rebuilding year all along. We got ourselves all lathered up after looking better than expected against SC, but as long as we improve from here on out, like you said, I'll be content to see where we're at next fall. This league has a way of being a meat-grinder when you're average, and letting you get rolling when you're deserving/lucky (see Auburn last year). Not saying we're going to pull an Auburn and play for it all in 2015, but one mediocre year does not a program break, if indeed Sumlin is our man for the long term. Jury's still out on that, and will be for quite some time, and changes among coordinators and such will definitely need to be made, but let's see how/if this team can grow up from here on out.

I still think we can turn things around. We aren't as good as USCe and we aren't as bad as Bama. I could see anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4. LSU & Mizzou are both good, not great. I think 7-5 is the most likely.

I went into the Alabama game thinking we were going to lose as bad as that sounds. We were awful against the Mississippi schools and this Alabama team was going to be pissed after almost losing (and should have, like us) to Arkansas, who would be 5-3 if they had a DECENT quarterback.

I didn't think it would be that bad, but the Sims run was also when I just sat back and laughed because that's all you can do really

we are what everyone (including most of us) thought we were. I'm most pissed aobut the seemingly team wide lack of effort on saturday.

Same. I expected a 6-6 or 7-5 type year. I also expected us to show up and compete every week
