I expect to see Sumlin reemphasize his philosophy of the best player will play and that a pattern of poor performance will not be tolerated.

We have 2 full weeks to practice. Use the ULM game to:

1) Try a different combination of offensive linemen to find an effective unit. We have been whipped here the last 3 games.

2) Play the best prepared underclassmen at safety and linebacker in place of Raven and Baggs. I would rather find out what we have here for the future.

3) Determine a workable rotation pattern for Hill and Allen so that both play significant snaps from here on out. The staff will go with the hot hand depending on performance.

4) Work on the running game. We will not beat anybody worth their salt without being able to run the ball between the tackles. Our poor running game is making life extremely difficult for our quarterbacks.

I agree with everything except the qb rotation. If you're going to play Allen, play him. But if you rotate them, Hill may be even more screwed than he is now. It could mess with his mind and render him useless.

I know QB rotation is a philosophy that many don't agree with. I like Spurrier's approach on this that if your QB is not mentally tough enough to compete through a rotation/competition, he is not your long term guy anyway.

I honestly don't think there is a single thing sumlin can do in the middle of the season to prevent the complete and utter humiliation that will continue to play out. The last game this "team" can win is ulm.

The next two weeks will be a brief respite from the horror that is now inevitable.

They quit. They will quit again.

Quitting is mental toughness (lack of)

Mental toughness can be changed

I think once you quit it's easier every time after that.

I think that is true for some guys. Gotta bench those quitters if you can't coach em up.
