Herby is probably holding the Arky game against us still

I've just been annoyed seeing some people keep ND in the top 4 because they played FSU close. I don't understand how it was any different than our loss to OM. They basically ended the exact same way.

So far our loss to OM on the road is every bit as good as NDs loss to FSU and better than Oregon's loss at home against Arizona. If you are going to hold our close win against Arky against us you have to hold NDs close win against NC and others against them. Hopefully all these teams will slip up once more so it won't matter, but we just have to keep winning. It's a one game season every game for us at this point. Just win baby. I feel like if we can get by our next two on the road, we might make a run at it.

That's amazingly selfish and stupid. I don't want the football season to be meaningless like basketball.

Since when does 8=64? Also eventually we'll get to a point where the SEC, ACC, B1G, Big 12, and Pac-12, will all be undefeated, who do you pick, and who do you leave out?

This is why I believe every team should be in a conference, every conference should have a conference championship game and only the conference champions make the play-offs. You seed them based on BCS formula.

Dumb. The SEC West likely has like 3 or 4 teams better than anyone that will win the Big 10, Big 12, or ACC.

If ND wins out they will be very hard to keep out of the playoff...TV audience and all.

And no way SEC gets a 2nd team in playoff in that scenario.

I think with the chaos of the past few weeks, the SEC's chances of gettin' 2 teams in has increased a little bit...it's very possible that both the Big 12 champ and the PAC-12 champ could have 2 losses now. In that scenario, the teams that could keep a 1-loss SEC non-champion out of the play-off would be:

An undefeated FSU
SEC champion
A 1-loss Notre Dame
A 1-loss Big 10 champion (MSU, OSU, possibly Nebraska)

OSU has been gettin' a lot of love from the media lately, so I now see them as a threat if they run the table...politically, I also think the committee will use any plausible excuse not to have a 2nd SEC team in the play-off, thus a 1-loss ND and/or Big 10 champ will probably get priority over another team from the SEC...

That being said, ND has 2 tough road trips coming up, at Arizona State and USC...they could lose both or either. I think the rest of this season will prove very climactic...
