Bummed 'bout 'Bama - a Conundrum

So, Mrs.Hank is out of town this weekend, and my girls (5 & 6) are committed to a birthday party with their best little friend from the gymnastics squad at ... get this ... 230pm Saturday. Seriously.
The birthday girl's parents are both professors at TAMU, and they schedule this party at 230pm.
So, I am torn. Do I try to follow the game at the party on my phone or iPad, or do I avoid all forms of electronic communication until I can get back to the DVR? Watching at the party is not an option, as it takes place at a local park.
I was a groomsman in a 05-Dec-1998 wedding, and the bride's family (Red Raiders, all) had the good sense to have a television in a back room at the reception for the B-12 championship game (a top-10 matchup with undefeated K-State).
But two A&M professors schedule a kindergarten birthday party to conflict with the 'Bama game. Aaaaarrrrgggghhh

Shame on those profs
If it were me I don't think I could resist checking on the game on my phone so damn hard not to have someone spoil it for you running their mouth at the wrong time anyways
I'm planning to have a gamethread up on the Ark for this game, so I'll at least keep the thread title updated for whoever needs it

There should be t-shirts for this, letting people know you don't want to know. Then again some people are just pricks. My step father thinks it's funny to tell me little bits about the game as long as it's not the final score. Like for Arkansas, he laughed as he told me it was a really good game... and proceeded to tell me It went to OT. THANKS A LOT

One is Physics. I do not recall the other for certain, but Geology I think.

Drop the kids off. ...and head to a sports bar. Drink soft drinks.

BJ's Brewhouse (cue the gay Aggie jokes) is only a few blocks away. Worth considering.
The problem is that the game lasts longer than the party. Having to leave the game in 3rd Quarter might be worse than waiting for the DVR.
I am leaning toward following the game on the iPad and then watching even though I will know the results.
This scheduling just goes to prove that the smartest people are NOT always the smartest people.

Old Army has gone to Hell .
Watch as much as you can at a bar, go get your kids, speed home with your kids firmly buckled in, helmets optional. Make it home in time to watch Jay Arnold leading the Aggies in the War Hymn.

Will I learn anything from watching the game that I do not already know by knowing the score? Or should I simply erase the DVR?

Erasing isn't foolproof. Burn that sumbitch. Then pour the ashes in your kitchen sink and run the disposer. Then get drunk and in the future deny you knew anything about this game.

It would appear that I am the luckiest man on the Rant or the Ark. I did not have to watch the shite show. I will take the advice of Finest and now destroy my DVR

Have an upvote. Nothing to be gleaned from that game film
