His undergrad and grad degrees were both in Education

Would his ascension mean continuing the Slive lead for better academics in the SEC?

Sankey's a good man - not sure they will go that route though.

But, yes, the SECU initiative would be high on the priority order under a Sankey commissionership, but athletics wouldn't suffer.

When Slive's retirement was announced, writers and journalists and what not who cover the league were acting like it was a foregone conclusion that Sankey will be the replacement.

Im not sure its a foregone conclusion but he is the most obvious choice. I would be surprised if they went another direction.

MSU taking over the #1 spot in the nation, and possibly taking over the commissioner's chair in Birmingham.

Maybe we did get some calls against Auburn. Maybe this is the new reality.

It must be the trade off for letting Auburn get Cam Newton.

Huh?

A native of Auburn, New York, Sankey earned his master’s degree from Syracuse University and his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York College at Cortland.

Edit: Nevermind. Now seeing where he was a guest speaker at something. I was semi-grinded.
