How often has Tennessee been played as a homecoming opponent?

UT is Ole Miss' homecoming opponent this weekend and it got me wondering how often that has been the case for UT. Does Alabama ever play yall for homecoming? Someone else maybe?

TSIO can be unpredictable. Never a good idea to schedule it as homecoming for either team.

It's a serious question. I would have never imagined playing UT for homecoming as a kid, and am just wondering how often it's happened ever.

Ole Miss is LSU's homecoming. I expect more of a home wrecking though.

Tennessee scheduled Auburn as it's homecoming game last year and it was not wonderful.

I remember playing Ole Miss for Homecoming when I was a Freshman at UT.
ETA...I forgot that Ole Miss was our homecoming opponent in 2010, too.

I aknowledged that we have been homecoming bitch for the alabama schools for years, and I should have said various other programs as well in my OP I guess.

Tennessee is going for their 7th losing season in the last 10 years. They are the perfect homecoming opponent

UT has probably played Ole Miss more for homecoming than any other team. Probably would have been even more, but from the 50's back, they played them every year in Memphis.

UT was Alabama's homecoming opponent in:
1930 - Bama won 18-6
1928 - UT won 15-13
Alabama was UT's homecoming opponent in:
1929 - UT won 6-0
1931 - UT won 25-0
1933 - Bama won 13-6
1935 - Bama won 25-0
1939 - UT won 21-0
1944 - Tie 0-0
1946 - UT won 12-0
1948 - UT won 21-6
Neither team has been the other's homecoming opponent for the last 66 years.
