Why is A&M still ranked?

They have a very similar resume to LSU, who isn't ranked, and shouldn't be ranked.
Open season with win that clearly doesn't mean anything today (SC/Wisconsin)
Both teams looked pretty good against terrible teams.
Both got killed twice by top 5 teams, once at home. And both made those home games look closer than they were at the end of the game.
LSU is certainly not a ranked team, but is A&M?

The real question is why is A&M in the SEC. CS is the gay capital of the south.

A&M blasted South Carolina at home when people thought SCAR was #10
LSU came from behind to beat Wisconsin on a neutral field.
I don't know if Wisconsin is better than SCAR or vice versa, but A&M win still looks better.
LSU's losses are to @AU and Miss St, A&M are to @Miss St and Ole miss. It's certainly not much of a difference but at the moment A&M appears to have played slightly tougher teams.
