We're about at the halfway point of the season so I figure we can see which direction people are heading in.

LINK

From what I gather, and projecting (which I know is impossible) what the rest of the season could look like, I'm guessing if the team is going to do better, worse, or about right with the fans' preseason picks

bama- worse
arkansas- about right
auburn- better
florida- worse
georgia- about right
kentucky- better
LSU- worse
ole miss- better
MSU- better
missouri- about right
SC- worse
UT- worse
aTm- about right
vanderbilt- worse

Correct, but there is a difference between our preseason and post SC game expectations.

oh absolutely. But yall predicted anywhere from 8-4 to 9-3 overall which is still doable.

Bama - what I expected
Auburn - better
MSU - better
Ole miss - deaf to better because I didn't think they would beat Bama
LSU- fricking dumpster fire
Tamu - what I expected
Arkansas- what I expected except more competitive than I thought they would be
Florida - what I expected
Tenn - what I expected. They have lost all of their SEC games but have been very competitive
Vandy - epic dumpster fire
USC - worse. Wayyyyy worse
UGA - bout what I expected
Mizzou - didn't even remember they were in the SEC until the start of the season

I know I'm missing someone but idgaf

Mizzou is worse than I expected at this point. Not really because of the record, I expected to be 5-0 or 4-1 at this point, but because of the reason the record is what it is.

Projecting out to the end of the season, It will be worse than expected.

We averaged to around a 9-3 record. We would be 4-1 now (if the Idaho game took place) so we are pretty close where we expected.

true, and like I said it's impossible to project out. But, simply based on the way UF has played thus far and the way you're "trending", there's 5 more games yall could easily lose. Granted, there's only 1 that is a surefire loss, but UF's season is just kind of up in the air right now IMO.

knew UF would still be bad
knew MSU would have their best team in years
knew LSU would struggle after the Outback Bowl but started deluding myself towards the end of the off-season
knew Mizzou would challenge for East title
knew UGA would be limited by Mason
knew aTm wouldn't have any defense

didn't see USCe's and LSU's historically bad seasons
hoped Bama would come back down to earth but still thought they would win the conference (not over yet)
didn't think Auburn would be undefeated (they probably won't be tho)
didn't think Arky would be able to play with the big boys
didn't think every team in the West would be god-tier
didn't think Ole Miss D would be that good

Exactly how I'd projected State at this point.

SEC mid-way through the season one big clusterfrick.

Check.

I figured LSU would be around 4-2, and Bama always has at least one WTF game. The young guns all still have visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads.

All will get sorted out in November.

bama- same (I still think they win 10 or 11 regular season games)
arkansas- about right (they derped the TAMU game so hard)
auburn- about right (I never doubted Malzhan, tGOAT)
florida- worse (I foolishly bought into Boom's "we were so injured in 2013!!!11" sandbaggin' coach speak)
georgia- about right (defense still kinda sucks, Mason is average)
kentucky- better (the kinda fluky win vs Scar offset the bad beat @ UF)
LSU- worse (front seven on D sucks)
ole miss- about right (defense is good as expected, predicted a Bama win and 10-2 season)
MSU- better (Merlins finally winning big games)
missouri- about right (if not for the Indiana loss they'd be a Top 10 team)
SC- worse (never bought the hype due to the shitty D)
UT- about right (Worley better than expected but derped hard last week)
aTm- about right (D is bleh but improved, Trill is better than expected preseason)
vanderbilt- worse (first 2 weeks were a disaster)

I predicted LSU would go 8-4, with two of the losses being Arky and A&M.

May have given them too much credit.

did you ever consider, Bama, that if you set the bar so high all the other teams would naturally raise their level of play hoh?

Despite their obvious struggles they're only one game worse at the moment than I predicted. The problem is I predicted 4 wins in the final six and that's not looking good presently. Here's hoping they turn it around enough to at least split the final six.

FWIW I also predicted you'd beat Bama, so that would be some relief.

I had 10-2, so right now that prediction is holding steady.
