That win over Bama, combined with the LSU win last year, is what you want to see if you are an Ole Miss fan. Are we witnessing the end of an era for Cajuns everywhere and the rise of a new Landmass power?

Wait until the end of the season plz. We have a long way to go

ETA: but yes Hugh is killing it right now. We are way ahead of schedule and it's like Nutt used to say, "you spell fun W-I-N"

still don't think ole miss has the resources to have success like this on a consistent basis. he's doing a great job, but the big 6 will always prevail at the end of the day, while going through bad times. good thing for ole miss, however, is freeze is at his dream job, so i doubt he leaves for greener pastures. he should have them at least competing every year, which is all you can really ask out of a coach at a school like ole miss

Let's see how they look next year after they no longer have the most experienced QB in the SEC.

Playing great this year though obviously

Long season or not I'd take the guy every day of the week. Hell of a recruiter who actually coaches and motivates during games and beats superior competition.

He isn't that great. But he is experienced and finds ways to win.

A la Jordan Jefferson. It's more the team around him. But experience at QB in the SEC this year is HUGE

Was there ever any doubt? He's a damn good coach.

This. Mixed in with since he is at his dream job he can pour everything he has into the team/players/fans/school and its real. Its not just because that who gives him a paycheck.

His recruiting is through the roof. We are very quietly putting together another great class this year. And everything i have heard about our 2016 class says its gonna be even better.

People can bash OM all they want and Oxford. But we have a hunger that these players/recruits are feeding on and its not going away anytime soon.

Dude finally took Leigh Ann's phone call and won a couple of games. Let's not start thinking about naming the SEC Coach of the Year Award after him

Sounds like the majority of the SEC QBs that have won championships.

Agree. Most SEC champions have very good defenses and very good running games with experience at QB.

This was definitely the year for Ole Miss and State to make big noise in the SEC. Both look great so far
